Its suitability depends on the chemical exposure, temperature, cleaning regime and joint geometry. Cleaning residue before cure is critical because hardened epoxy haze can be difficult to remove. Some sensitive tiles or stones require preliminary staining tests.
Epoxy grout does not accommodate structural movement like an expansion-joint sealant and does not replace a continuous waterproofing layer. Review the manufacturer’s chemical-resistance chart before specifying a grade.
