Before you use it
- Evaluation should focus on the intended production cycle, placement method, air content and compatibility with mineral additions.
- For precast work, measure both early demoulding strength and later strength rather than relying only on flow.
- The supplier should provide batch identification, storage guidance, recommended addition sequence and relevant conformity information.
- Because many modern applications use PCE products, SMF should be selected on performance and commercial grounds, not on an assumption that older or newer chemistry is always superior.
