The wax layer reduces evaporation but can create a bond-breaking interface for later cementitious or resin-based treatments. This is a major selection consideration for warehouses, parking decks and slabs that will receive overlays. Some formulations include pigments to help applicators judge coverage; pigment presence does not prove correct film thickness.
Do not spray on standing bleed water unless specifically allowed. If a future bonded finish is planned, establish a tested surface preparation and removal method before the curing compound is approved.
